Master Sachith Bhat Honoured with Hoysala Award

Master Sachith Bhat, a Class 10 student of SDM English Medium School, Ujire, has been conferred with the prestigious Hoysala Award in recognition of his outstanding academic performance and all-round excellence.

Sachith is known for his exceptional talent in both academics and co-curricular activities. His consistent achievements and dedication have earned him this distinguished recognition. He has actively participated in various competitions such as singing, essay writing, elocution, and shuttle badminton, winning numerous prizes since his primary school days.

He is the son of Mr. Sudheer Bhat and Mrs. Supriya Bhat, who have been a constant source of encouragement and support in all his endeavors.

Sachith has a keen interest in innovative scientific ideas and has successfully translated them into practical models and projects. At the age of 14, he participated in a national-level children’s science project held in Bhopal. His project focused on utilizing waste banana fibers to create useful products such as paper, pot hangers, bowls, mats, and even pickles. This project addressed the significant issue of disposal of banana fiber waste in various parts of India.

In addition, he developed a science model based on generating electricity from organic waste, which earned him an opportunity to participate in a state-level science exhibition.

Recognizing his overall excellence, Sachith was also awarded the Best Outgoing Student of the school for the year 2025. The Headmistress, teachers, and management of the school have expressed immense pride in his achievements and have extended their best wishes for his bright and successful future.
