SDM English Medium School, Ujire (State Syllabus), celebrated Independence Day with great patriotic spirit and enthusiasm. The celebration brought together students, teachers, non-teaching staff and parents to commemorate the nation’s freedom and honour the sacrifices of those who contributed to it.

The programme began with the flag hoisting by the Chief Guest, Naik Subedar Meghashyama K, Ex-Air Defence Army. The National Flag was unfurled with pride, followed by a solemn and patriotic atmosphere on the school campus.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest shared valuable insights into the life of soldiers, their struggles, sacrifices and dedication towards protecting the nation. He encouraged students to uphold values such as discipline, courage, responsibility, patriotism and respect for the nation. He also spoke about the benefits and opportunities available through a career in the Indian Army, inspiring students to consider serving the country in the future.

As part of the Independence Day celebrations, various activities and competitions were conducted on 14 August 2026. The winners were honoured during the Prize Distribution Ceremony, appreciating their enthusiasm, creativity and participation.

The celebration also featured a vibrant cultural programme by the students, who expressed their love for the nation through patriotic songs, dances and other performances. Their enthusiastic presentations filled the campus with a strong sense of patriotism and national pride.

The presence and participation of students, teaching and non-teaching staff, and parents added to the grandeur of the celebration. The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to cherish the freedom of the nation and contribute towards building a responsible, disciplined and progressive India.
