
SDM English Medium School, Ujire(State) resonated with pride and promise on the morning of 1st July 2025 as it hosted its much-anticipated Investiture Ceremony. This solemn occasion marked the formal induction of the newly elected Student Council — a symbolic reaffirmation of the school’s core values: leadership, commitment, and service.
The dignitaries the Chief Guest, Mrs. Sevanthi B, Headmistress of Govt, higher primary school, Perla-Mundatthodi, Ujire warmly welcomed at the entrance by the NCC cadets. Her presence added prestige and inspiration to the event. She was accompanied by Mrs Vidhyalaxmi Nayak, Headmistress; Former SPL Aalap.
The highlight of the ceremony was the Oath-Taking, led by the Chief Guest, where the newly elected leaders pledged to uphold the school’s core values. The former School Pupil Leader, Aalap, ceremoniously handed over the badge to the newly elected SPL Sachith Bhat. This marked not just a ceremonial transition but a profound call to leadership, rooted in values of discipline, service, and empathy.
The Chief Guest, Mrs. Sevanthi B, in her inspiring address, congratulated the newly elected leaders and reminded them that they are the future torchbearers of society. Her message concluded with a hopeful vision for the year—one filled with peace, purpose, and progress.
As part of the Investiture Ceremony, the former School Pupil Leader, Aalap, addressed the gathering with a heartfelt speech, highlighting the importance of teamwork, punctuality, and empathy. His words were both nostalgic and inspiring, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.
Headmistress, Mrs Vidhyalaxmi Nayak encouraged the young leaders to embrace their new roles with courage, commitment, and a heart ready to serve. Concluding with a heartfelt wish, she encouraged the leaders to shine their light, lift others, and remain true to who they are.
