Igniting the Spirit of Leadership: Investiture Ceremony and Clubs Inauguration 2026–27 at SDM

SDM English Medium School, Ujire State Syllabus, witnessed a memorable and inspiring
occasion on 17th June 2026 as it hosted the Investiture Ceremony and Clubs Inauguration
Ceremony of the Student Council for the Academic Year 2026–27. The event marked the formal
induction of the newly elected student leaders and the inauguration of various student clubs,
symbolizing the school’s commitment to nurturing leadership, responsibility, creativity, and
service among students.
The programme commenced with a prayer, invoking blessings for the young leaders embarking
on their journey of responsibility. The dignitaries, staff members, and students warmly welcomed
the Chief Guest, Mrs. Vidya Shrinivas Gowda, Former President of Belalu Grama Panchayat,
and Master, Sachith bhat, former SPL whose presence added grace and inspiration to the
occasion.
The ceremony featured the formal investiture of the newly elected Student Council members.
The student leaders took the oath of office, pledging to uphold the values and traditions of the
institution with sincerity, dedication, and integrity. Former School Leader Sachith Bhat
ceremonially handed over his responsibilities and authority to the newly elected School Leader,
Akshar Halemane, symbolizing a smooth transition of leadership and the continuation of the
school’s legacy of excellence and service.
The badges and sashes were presented to the council members, officially entrusting them with
their leadership responsibilities for the academic year.
A significant highlight of the event was the inauguration of various school clubs, which aim to
provide students with opportunities to develop their talents, leadership qualities, and social
awareness. The clubs were formally declared open, encouraging students to actively participate
in activities that foster holistic development.
Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Vidya Shrinivas Gowda congratulated the newly elected leaders
and urged them to lead by example. She emphasized the importance of discipline, commitment,
teamwork, and service to society. She encouraged students to dream big, remain confident, and
use their positions to bring positive change within the school and the community.
The Headmistress, in her presidential address, congratulated the student leaders and motivated
them to carry out their duties with dedication and a sense of responsibility. She highlighted that
true leadership is reflected through actions, compassion, and the willingness to serve others.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the chief guest,
management, staff, and students for making the event a grand success. The ceremony ended
on a proud note, inspiring every student to embrace leadership and contribute meaningfully to
the school’s vision of excellence.
