Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade
The president of SDME Trust and Society is a visionary who contemplates the future with his base firmly embedded in the time tested values of the past. Being a perfectionist, he believes that education not only enriches the mind but also helps a person to earn his living using the knowledge and skills he has acquired. Hence, the emphasis on subjects that creates opportunities for employment finds a special place in the institutions under his patronage. Dr. D VeerendraHeggade succeeded his father Late Shri Rathnavarma Heggade to the position at a tender age of 20. It has been 51 years since, and his accomplishments speak volumes of his personality. In recognition of the same, a well-deserved Padma Vibhushan Award was awarded to him in 2015 by the Central Government of India.

I am glad that my daughter, Aarohi has joined this institute where me and my sisters have been educated. The whole ambience of the school is so good, as the campus is very peaceful and beautiful. Opinion about SDM School: SDM has always been close to my heart. I realized the importance of SDM after i moved out of SDM. I realized the quality of education that has been provided to me. I was able to compete with the crowd coming from Urban areas just because of the training i got in this school. The teachers have always been good to me and they have encouraged me in all the activites. As a SDM student, i did not just grew as a student who studies for exams but i was allowed to grow my extra curicular activites as well. The time i spent in SDM had shaped me so well that i still carry that lessons with me and is still helping me in tackling challenges.
